Phra Akbordin Paññāratano, a PhD candidate ring the historical bell
On January 25, 2024, Phra Akbordin Paññāratano, a PhD candidate in Religious Studies at the University of Otago, and a researcher at the Dhammachai International Research Institute (DIRI), rang the University bell and took pictures with his supervisors and friends after submitting his PhD thesis in early January. The University of Otago initiated the tradition of ringing the University bell in March 2019 by inviting doctoral students to ring the historical bell after submitting their theses.
เมื่อวันที่ 25 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2567 พระเอกบดินทร์ ปญฺญารตโน นักศึกษาปริญญาเอก สาขาศาสนศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยโอทาโก และนักวิจัยสถาบันวิจัยนานาชาติธรรมชัย (ดีรี) ได้ตีระฆังเก่าแก่ของมหาวิทยาลัยโอทาโก และถ่ายรูปร่วมกับอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษาและเพื่อนกัลยาณมิตร หลังจากที่ได้ส่งวิทยานิพนธ์เมื่อช่วงต้นเดือนมกราคมที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งมหาวิทยาลัยโอทาโกได้ริเริ่มให้มีประเพณีการตีระฆังประจำมหาวิทยาลัยขึ้นเมื่อเดือนมีนาคม พ.ศ. 2562 โดยเชิญนักศึกษาปริญญาเอกของมหาวิทยาลัยมาตีระฆังประวัติศาสตร์ใบนี้หลังจากที่ส่งวิทยานิพนธ์แล้ว
